Sign up to get your to get your BSA Swim Check at the downtown YMCA on May 23rd or 24th!
If you are not already a member at the YMCA, be sure to follow the instructions on the SignUpGenius to become a “Community Member” before arriving for your swim check.
Why get your swim check?
If you are planning to attend the James River Batteau Festival Canoe Trip, it is required that you first pass the BSA Swim Check, and this will be the only opportunity to do so prior to the canoe trip.
If you are going to Summer Camp at Camp Cherokee, doing your swim check ahead of time will save you time at camp since there is usually a long line.
Passing your swim check enables you to attend other water-related scout activities throughout the year.
