Fishing Merit Badge Day Trip
Event is Saturday, October 10th.
Sign up by Monday, September 21st.
Join us to catch trout, clean them at the Tye River, and cook them on a charcoal grill at Peakland United Methodist Church. We’ll work on Fishing merit badge (3 knots, Leave No Trace, and how to be safe). Every scout should catch be able to catch one. The troop will cover the cost of the fish. No fishing license required.
Schedule
8:30am - Meet at the Boonsboro Food Lion
10:30am - Arrive at the fishing location
10:45am - Fishing merit badge class
12:45pm - Packed lunch
1:00pm - Fishing
1:30pm - Leave to clean fish at the Tye River
4:00pm - Arrive at Peakland United Methodist Church and cook on a charcoal grill
5:30pm - Parent pickup at PUMC

Who can come
All registered scouts and adults in Troop 29 are invited. Cap of about 10 scouts, so sign up early. Registration deadline is September 21.
